Freezone Training - Current State

The following quote I lifted from the FZAOint's Member-l e-mail list mid last year. It is such a good summary of the current state of affairs that I'll just present it verbatum.

Hi folks,

(1) There IS training going on in the FZ today, just not a lot of it.

(2) There is a shortage of materials. The only way to get them legally is to buy them from the Church, who only have the altered versions available and don't want to sell them to us anyway. There are some older versions of packs and books floating around out there, but it's an extremely limited supply.

(3) An academy has to offer introductory courses to the broad ("raw meat") public to get enough traffic to be viable. That means advertising in "earthworm" newspapers and such. That will get the Church's attention.

(4) The Church works very hard to suppress competition. The larger, more visible, and more successful that competition is, the more pressure the Church will bring to bear.

(5) In the United States, the Church has the cooperation of the Government in suppressing the Tech. Even if they can't stop auditors from giving sessions, suppressing training will totally wipe out the Tech in a few decades.

Also, an org has to keep its Tech-Admin ratio in. Many people try to make it on a 1-0 ratio; to wit, they want to audit pc's but don't have any of the other posts covered. Many Church orgs today are Admin heavy; while HGC auditing is expensive, that money gets spread out across too many Admin terminals and so pay remains low. LRH encourages a 1-1 ratio; although I think a 1-2 ratio is more practical at least in the forming stages. And remember the Tech part includes Course Sups, C/S'es, Examiners, and such.
