Thank You all for your positive statements.
Obviously in
this day an age someone must charge money for services he
offers. Nobody
needs to be explained the high cost of living and
necessary
expenses.
However Money should always be the Secondary
Motivation, not the prime
motivation.
I try to apply the same
principle in what I am doing.
When someone contacts me, I first seek to
help him, giving whatever advice
is appropriate through email, then I start
to make a general "estimate" and
invite the person to visit me when his
schedule allows.
I don't bring the subject of Money, and unless the
person was a most
complete fool, he would of course know he needed to
disburse something for
my services. LRH was doing the exact same thing in his
early years.
I don't have a price list set in stone, so it is open to
arrangements,
though I nevertheless ask for a fair and adequate
compensation.
People appreciate that.
I have started to build up a
lineup without even trying. I delivered an L-10
and an L-11 recently and I
have several more lining up in the next few
months.
A lot of COS
staff are only after people Money. This mainly comes from being
overworked,
not having enough tools or resources and the eternal penalties
for failure to
raise income. Regular org staff are eager for Money more out
of desperation
than greed.
However it is when it goes to the Higher Echelons that it
becomes real
dirty.
If your intent is first to help people and second
to be compensated for it,
you will be successful practicing in the FZ or
similar activity. Your pcs
will become your friends.
If your motive is
Money first, only the truly desperate will pay, and they
will be ready to
turn on you at the drop of a hat.
The same applies to the "secret" of
perfect TRs.
As long as someone is trying very hard to have perfect TRS,
there will be
something wrong with them.
When someone stops trying by
merely "communicating" and doing it right, the
TRs fall in place by
themselves.
